This policy explains what personal data OXYN collects when you register an organization or visit our sites (start.rezotaj.net, rezotaj.net, insights.oxyn.global), why, and what your rights are.
1. Who is responsible
Oxyn, 38, Rue Fernand, Canapé-Vert, Port-au-Prince, Haïti, Haiti, is the controller of your data. Contact for privacy questions: support@oxyn.global.
2. What we collect when you register
- About you, the account owner: name, email address, phone number (optional), how you prefer to be contacted, and the message choices you made.
- About your organization: name, sector, description, country, city, website, languages, what you offer, colors, and the social media pages or numbers you list.
- Technical data: the date and time of each step, and the language you used.
When you comment on a listing: the text, the name you choose to show (optional), your rating (optional), the language, the date, and a random code kept in a cookie for one day to limit how many comments can be sent. We do not ask for your email address. Approved comments stay public as long as the listing exists; refused comments are deleted within 30 days.
3. What is public
Your organization's directory page on Rezotaj shows: organization name, sector, description, city, country, website, languages, what you offer, your colors and the public social media pages you listed. Your own name, email address and phone number are never shown publicly. If you give a website, its review by OXYN Insights is public. Search engines may index public pages.
4. Why we use your data
- To create and run your account and directory page, and provide the services you activate (contract).
- To send messages needed for your account (contract).
- To send newsletters or offers, only if you agreed (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
- To review public websites and publish the results, and to keep the platform secure (legitimate interest).
5. Cookies
We only use cookies that are needed for the sites to work: one that keeps your answers between registration steps, one that remembers your language, one that remembers you have seen the cookie notice, and, if you comment, one that limits how many comments can be sent (kept for one day). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
We count visits with Umami, a statistics tool we host ourselves. It uses no cookies and builds no profile of you: we only see totals, such as pages viewed, countries and types of device.
6. Who processes data for us
Our servers are rented from Vultr (data center in Miami, USA). Emails are sent through Resend. Our domain names are managed with GoDaddy. These providers only process data on our instructions. We do not sell personal data.
7. Transfers outside your country
Data is stored in the United States. Where the law requires it (for example for people in the European Union), transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
8. How long we keep data
Account and organization data: as long as the account exists, then deleted within 90 days, except data we must keep by law (for example invoices). An unfinished or unconfirmed registration is deleted 30 days after its last activity. Records of your message choices are kept as proof for as long as needed.
9. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, object to its use, or withdraw a consent, by writing to support@oxyn.global. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
10. Organizations listed before they register
To help people find organizations in Haiti and the diaspora, Rezotaj also lists organizations that have not registered yet. We assemble these listings from public sources: OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL license), the organization's own website, public social media pages it links to, OXYN Insights reviews, and information sent by visitors. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest, and the interest of the public, in a useful directory.
A listing shows only: the organization's name, sector, town or area and country, its location on a map, its website, its public social media pages and its opening hours. We do not publish phone numbers, email addresses or street addresses of organizations that have not registered. Each listing says where its information comes from and is marked "Not yet claimed".
Anyone can ask us to correct or remove a listing by writing to support@oxyn.global; we act within 30 days. The organization can also claim its listing for free to manage it.
11. People listed before they register
Rezotaj also lists people with a public role who come from Haiti or have Haitian roots: athletes, musicians, artists, writers, actors and people in politics or public office. We take this information from public sources: the open databases Wikidata and MusicBrainz (CC0 license), the person's own official website and the public social media accounts they use for their public activity, and information sent by visitors. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest, and the interest of the public, in knowing who represents Haiti and its diaspora.
A listing shows only: the person's name as used in public, their field (for example sports or music), their country, and links to their official website, their public social media accounts and the public sources. We do not publish phone numbers, email or street addresses, dates of birth, photos, family details or any information about health, religion, beliefs or private life. For people in politics we show only their public role, never political opinions. We do not list anyone under 18. Each listing says where its information comes from and is marked "Not yet claimed".
A listed person can, at any time and without giving a reason, ask us to remove or correct their listing by writing to support@oxyn.global; we act within 30 days and do not list them again. They can also claim their listing for free to manage it.
12. Changes
We will announce important changes to this policy by email before they apply.
